FOS|LTC Weekly News

As we move further into October, there is plenty of progress to update you on around the Club. Work continues on both the new padel and pickleball courts, and the refurbishment of the tennis courts is coming along well. As ever, painting the courts remains weather‑dependent, so thank you for your patience while we wait for the right conditions to finish the job properly.

This week we launched our new padel membership, along with guidance on how existing members can add padel to their current membership category. It’s an exciting milestone and one that brings us closer to opening the courts for play.

We have also taken the decision to move the AGM to November, allowing us a little more time to finalise the format and ensure everything is ready. Full details, including how members can participate, will follow in due course.

There is a lot happening, and we appreciate everyone’s continued support as these improvements take shape. We keep saying it, but the end result will be well worth it.

Sports and Services!

Padel Membership & Update

Earlier this week, we shared an update explaining how Padel will work for both members and non-members. You can also find all the information on our website here: https://www.fosltc.com/padel. If you have any questions, please email rebecca@fosltc.com.

The renovation work on courts F, G and H is progressing well, and they are now nearly ready to reopen. The courts have been deep cleaned, surface repairs have been completed, and they are currently being repainted. Weather-dependent, we are hopeful that these courts will be back in action on Tuesday.  Once these courts are open, work will commence on Court E.

Meanwhile, work on our exciting new Padel and Pickleball courts remains in the groundwork stages. However, the infrastructure for the new courts is due to start arriving early next week, marking another exciting step forward in the project!

We are currently aiming for the project to be completed in early November and will continue to keep you updated on our progress as work moves forward.
