It’s been a lively start to the tennis season. Can you believe that we have six of our teams now competing in the C&D Premier Leagues. Our ladies’ A v B fixture delivered two superb 9–0 victories for the A team, while the men’s A v B saw the A team notch up two strong wins. The B team put up a spirited fight last night but narrowly missed out, finishing 7–2. Looking ahead, the first Mixed A v B match is this Thursday, so plenty more great tennis to come.
If you haven’t spotted it yet, our brand‑new website went live this week. We would love to hear your thoughts, so do send over any feedback.
As we prepare the grounds for a fabulous summer, we are looking for volunteers to help put up the windbreaks over the next two weeks. Next Friday, 17 April, we will be installing the blue windbreaks on the hard courts, so any extra hands and ladders will make a big difference. The following week is the big push as we tackle at least three sections of the grass courts.
Last week brought a brilliant evening with Tracey Moorhouse, and on Sunday, Liam and Natalie once again set the bar high with some outstanding Easter food. With glowing reviews pouring in, you may want to secure your spot for the next big Club event.
And as ever, there’s plenty happening around the Club. The Spring Market arrives this Saturday. New dance fitness classes begin on Monday. Then on Wednesday evening, James and Lucille will be hosting an insightful session on understanding your body and health.

Grass Season is coming….
It won’t be long now until the grass courts will be open. Providing the weather stays this sunny, we hope to have them open before our Open Day on Saturday, 16th May. However, like every year, there is a lot of prep that goes into getting them open, including the installation of our wind breaks. We’ll be looking for volunteers to come and help to fix them up. Please email enquiries@fosltc.com if you’re able to volunteer, even just a couple of hours at the end of April! Once again, a big thank you to Steve and Craig for getting the courts back into pristine condition!
Ceroc is coming to Frinton!
We’re excited to welcome Ceroc to the club from Monday, 13th April. Ceroc incorporates a wide variety of dance forms such as Jive, Ballroom, Latin, Tango, Salsa, West-Coast Swing, Blues, Bachata, Zouk..... the list goes on. Every week you will learn different moves and routines, always growing your repertoire and building your dance skills. Pickleball Tournament
There’s only 1 space left for our tournament on Sunday, 19th April!!
Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, this tournament is designed for everyone. Enjoy friendly competition, meet fellow players, and showcase your skills on the court. £10.00 sign-up fee, which includes a cake and a hot drink after! There is a maximum of 14 spaces available. On Saturday 11th, we’ve got Premiership action with Arsenal VS Bournemouth, kick off 12.30 pm.
And the Champions League is back on Wednesday 15th with Arsenal vs Sporting, kick off 8 pm

Thursday Night Tennis Social
Our Thursday Night Social Tennis Sessions are back!
After being such a fantastic success last summer, we’re delighted to be bringing them back again this year.
Join us every Thursday from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm for an extra social session to add to your weekly hit. Whether you’re looking for some friendly competition, a great workout, or simply a fun evening at the club, this is the perfect way to enjoy more time on court.
Players of all standards are warmly welcome — the more the merrier for some fun social doubles, followed by a well-earned drink in the bar afterwards.

Frinton Summer Theatre
Frinton Summer Theatre are currently looking for local hosts to provide accommodation for cast and crew during the summer season (June-September). If you have a spare room, hosting is a simple and rewarding way to support the theatre - with guests typically out most of the day rehearsing and performing, and no meals required. In return, we offer £105 per week to help cover costs, along with the chance to be part of the theatre community and the buzz behind the scenes. Even one or two weeks of hosting during the season would be hugely appreciated.

Sports Rehab and Wellness Talk
We are pleased to be hosting James Leathers (JL Physio) and Lucille Cowell (Registered Naturopath) at the Club on Wednesday, 15th April from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm for an engaging Sports Rehab & Wellness Talk.
James will be discussing injury rehabilitation and prevention strategies in sport, while Lucille will share expert insights on wellness, nutrition, and diet to support both performance and overall well-being.
The talk will conclude with a Q&A session, giving members and guests the opportunity to ask questions and benefit from the speakers’ expertise.
Entry is free for members and £5 per person for non-members.
