As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, work has now begun on our new padel courts. With construction underway, there will be some short‑term disruption, and we appreciate your patience while the improvements take shape.
From Monday, Courts F, G and H will be closed for refurbishment for the week, and Court E will remain open, though you may notice ongoing works nearby while you play. Thank you for bearing with us as we upgrade the facilities for everyone’s benefit.
The club however, is still very busy with plenty of other activities! There is plenty to choose from and get involved.

New Coffee Machine
We are delighted to announce that our new coffee machine was installed today! And we’ll now be serving Illy coffee!
Squash Stars is Back!
Squash Stars is an unmissable junior programme for kids aged 5-9 starting on Saturday 3rd October at 9 am at Frinton on Sea Lawn Tennis Club. This six-week programme of 45-minute sessions builds fundamental skills and confidence, encouraging kids to reach for the stars on and off court. For just £35, your child will get six sessions and a Squash Stars t-shirt. All equipment will be provided by the club. Find out more and enrol your child at squashstars.co.uk
Swimming Pool Closure
Please be aware that the Last date for adult swimming is Sunday 27th September. The pool will then be closed for the winter until May 2027.
Junior Social Tennis
Please note that our Junior Social Tennis tomorrow will not be going ahead on Saturday 3rd October due to the court deep cleaning. It will resume as usual on Saturday 10th October.
Pilates
We’re considering introducing a Men’s Pilates class here at the club!
If this is something you’d be interested in, we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking at offering a 6-week taster course to start with.

Macmillan Coffee Morning
Thankyou to everyone who came down today to support our coffee morning. We’re delighted to announce we raised a fabulous £160.54 for a fabulous cause!
Upcoming Events
Spanish Wine Evening
Our President is hosting ‘A Celebration of Spain’ at 6.30 pm on Friday 6th November, a light-hearted commentary about the wine, food, travel and culture of Spain.
The quality of winemaking has significantly increased in recent years, and a variety of quality wines with familiar and less familiar grapes will be provided throughout the evening.
Our resident chef will have the opportunity to showcase his talents with complementary dishes from different regions, in consultation with Carmen Griffiths, a former resident of Madrid.
Tables of 10 will be available to book as a group, or individually at a cost of £79 Members (£85 for non-members).

Christmas is Coming….
We’re delighted to announce our Christmas calendar ready for the 2026 festive season!
It’s set to be a great month from our Christmas Market and Wreath Making to Parties, lunches, and, of course, Carols! We’ve also been able to keep our prices reasonable this year whilst also giving our members their 10% off!
