Welcome to this week’s FOS|LTC Weekly News!
There’s plenty to look forward to at the club over the next few weeks, with our Summer Open Day on Saturday 16th May fast approaching, alongside Quiz Night, Pizza Night, and our upcoming New Members Evening.
We’re also excited for the return of the Frinton Triangle Tournament this summer — always a brilliant celebration of club spirit, friendly rivalry, and bringing our sporting community together.
On court, league tennis is in full swing, while members continue enjoying squash, pickleball, croquet, the gym, and fitness classes throughout the week.

FOSLTC Summer Open Day | Saturday 16th May 2026
It’s not long to go now until our Summer Open Day on Saturday 16th May, 11 am – 4 pm. You, as our members, can benefit by helping build our community. If you bring down a family member or friend, and they sign up on the day, you both get £30 on your swipe card! We’ve got plenty of taster sessions and activities going on, to see more head HERE.
We look forward to seeing you all on the day, and we’re hoping the sunshine stays!
Jupiter Singers Concert | Saturday 16th May
We’re delighted to welcome the Jupiter Singers to the Club on Saturday, 16th May for a special live performance starting at 11.30 am. Whether you’re visiting for our Summer Open Day or simply fancy enjoying some wonderful music and atmosphere at the club, everyone is warmly welcome to come along and support the group. We hope members, friends, and visitors alike will join us for what promises to be a lovely morning of entertainment!
Colchester and District 2026 League
This week we’ve had 5 matches!
On Tuesday, our Ladies A were away to the Essex A. Unfortunately, after some tough matches, we lost 7-2.
On Wednesday, we had 2 teams in action. Ladies B were away to Lexden Hill A. After some very close games, FOSLTC unfortunately lost 5-4.
And our Men’s D were at home to Kirby B. Our Men’s team triumphed and won 7-2!
On Thursday, our Men's A were at home to Colchester Officers Club A. Our Men won 9-0!
And TONIGHT, our Ladies C are at home playing Spring Lane C! Good Luck!
Next week we’ve got 5 matches again!

Frinton Triangle Tournament 2026
This year, we have the return of the Frinton Triangle Tournament! We claimed back the trophy last year, and we hope to keep it! The tournament kicks off at the club on Saturday, 28th June, with Tennis and Croquet. The sign-up sheet is on the tennis board. We then head to the cricket club on 5th July and golf on 26th July. Please sign up for any of the events, but remember, you can only represent one club!

Summer Thursday Night Social Tennis is Back
Our Thursday Night Tennis Social is now back on the grass courts! Join us every Thursday from 6.00pm – 7.30pm for a relaxed evening of mixed, social doubles, good fun, and a drink afterwards in the bar.
We’ve had a brilliant mix of ages and abilities coming down already, so whether you play regularly or just fancy getting back on court, everyone is very welcome. It’s a great way to meet other members and enjoy the summer evenings at the club.

Laver Cup Pre-sales
We’ve once again entered the club into the pre-sale opportunity for Laver Cup tickets, which takes place from 25th to 27th September. The last pre-sale was for the full tournament packages; this time, it’s for individual sessions tickets, making them much more flexible to purchase. Our Pre-sale window is on Thursday, 14th May, 10.00 – 23.59. We’ll communicate with members once we have further information and the pre-sale link.
Poolside Kitchen 2026
We’re delighted to confirm that our current Event Caters, At Your Place Catering, have taken on the Poolside Kitchen for the Summer 2026 season! Liam and Natalie have added their own touches to the menu this year and will be open from Friday, 15th May, 12 noon – 6 pm. The new menu will be added to the website next week, but our opening times can be viewed HERE.
