This weekend, we are literally and metaphorically hoping the sun shines kindly on Frinton‑on‑Sea, as the Club gears up for what we hope is a truly exciting few days.
Friday is a big, big day for the Club. It could be monumental, as we are expecting the council’s decision on our Padel application, and we have everything crossed for a favourable outcome that will help shape the Club’s future. It is also the official opening of the Poolside Kitchen under At Your Place. Come on down and be among the first to enjoy the fantastic food Liam and Natalie will be serving.
The weekend activities begin on Friday night with our ever‑popular monthly quiz (spaces still available). Then on Saturday, we throw open the doors for our Open Day, with a full programme of sporting activities and a performance from the wonderful Jupiter Singers. We would love to see as many of you as possible supporting the Club. Please feel free to bring friends, family, neighbours or anyone to enjoy the day and even sign up for membership. There are excellent offers available and incentives for members who introduce new sporting members.
On the sporting front, congratulations to our teams who have won in the C&D league this week.
Finally, a reminder that registration for the Tennis Club Championships is now open, and we are fully digital. The form is quick and easy to complete. No excuses, please make sure you register before midday on 27 May.

FOSLTC Summer Open Day | Saturday 16th May 2026
We’re keeping everything crossed for sunshine and hoping the rain stays away! We’ve got exhibition matches, our poolside kitchen & bar open, the swimming pool ready to enjoy, plus plenty of other activities happening throughout the day. We can’t wait to see you there!
You, as our members, can benefit by helping build our community. If you bring down a family member or friend, and they sign up on the day, you both get £30 on your swipe card! We’ve got plenty of taster sessions and activities going on, to see more head HERE. We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
Jupiter Singers Concert | Saturday 16th May
We’re delighted to welcome the Jupiter Singers to the Club on Saturday, 16th May for a special live performance starting at 11.30 am. Whether you’re visiting for our Summer Open Day or simply fancy enjoying some wonderful music and atmosphere at the club, everyone is warmly welcome to come along and support the group. We hope members, friends, and visitors alike will join us for what promises to be a lovely morning of entertainment!
FOSLTC Club Championships 2026 - Registration Open!
The anticipated Club Championships are right around the corner, and this year’s sign-ups digital! In line with our commitment to sustainability and reducing paper waste, this year’s Club Championships registration will be completed entirely online using Microsoft Forms. Going digital not only supports our environmental goals, but it also enables us to manage entries more efficiently and prepare accurate draws for each event.
Registration closes at midday on Wednesday, 27 May 2026. Please ensure your entry is submitted well before the deadline. There will be no extensions and no exceptions, so early registration is strongly encouraged.

Last Friday, our Ladies C won 7-2 against Spring Lane!
This week we’ve had another 5 matches! Unfortunately the weather hasn’t been to kind!
On Tuesday, our Mixed D team were at home to Kirby B. Unfortunately, FOSLTC lost 9-0.
Our Mixed A was also in action on Tuesday, away at Spring Lane. FOSLTC just took the win 5-4.
On Wednesday, Our Mixed C VS Lexden was called off due to rain.
Tonight, we’re hoping our Mixed B can play Essex A.
And tomorrow our Men’s C is away at Spring Lane! Good Luck!

Grade 1 National Grass Court Championships Under 11’s
Saturday 23rd May – Thursday 28th May
We will once again be hosting the LTA Grade 1 National Grass Court Championships Under 11’s in a couple of weeks. The tournament kicks of on Saturday 23rd May and runs through until the finals on Thursday 28th May. Members, please ensure you are booking your courts to avoid disappointment! The Poolside Kitchen and pool for children’s swimming will be open too! Please remember to book your slots HERE.
Frinton Triangle Tournament 2026
This year, we have the return of the Frinton Triangle Tournament! We claimed back the trophy last year, and we hope to keep it! The tournament kicks off at the club on Sunday, 28th June, with Tennis and Croquet. The sign-up sheet is on the tennis board. We then head to the cricket club on 5th July and golf on 26th July. Please sign up for any of the events, but remember, you can only represent one club!

After the success of our 2 Ladies Grass Court Tournaments last year, we’re excited to launch another one this year! Tuesday 2nd June, registration from 9.30 am. Players are welcome from any club. For more information, view HERE.

Summer Thursday Night Social Tennis is Back
Our Thursday Night Tennis Social is now back on the grass courts! Join us every Thursday from 6.00pm – 7.30pm for a relaxed evening of mixed, social doubles, good fun, and a drink afterwards in the bar.
We’ve had a brilliant mix of ages and abilities coming down already, so whether you play regularly or just fancy getting back on court, everyone is very welcome. It’s a great way to meet other members and enjoy the summer evenings at the club.
