It’s been an exceptionally busy and exciting period at the Club, with activities right across the calendar. We have croquet tournaments, junior holiday tennis camps, County Tennis Week and, of course, our own inaugural Tennis Week. The summer really is showcasing the full breadth of what our Club can offer.

To make these events truly special, we need your support. Our first-ever Tennis Week has been designed to offer something different: a programme that blends competitive play with social occasions and a few standout moments you won’t find anywhere else. The week includes a members’ lunch and an exclusive auction featuring signed memorabilia from Wimbledon champions, which is a rare chance to secure something genuinely unique.

On Saturday evening, we host the “Tennis” Ball, where talented local pianist Archie Playle will be performing live. It promises to be a highlight of the season and a fantastic way to bring members together. Across the four days, we have worked hard to provide experiences that appeal to players, supporters, families, and anyone who simply enjoys being part of the club community. Please do get involved.

Following Tennis Week, we move straight into our very own LTA tournament. This event is open to more than just juniors, and we encourage our older members to take part or come along to support.

FOSLTC Club Championships 2026

We’re getting closer now to finding out who will be playing in our finals day on Saturday 5th September! Marcus Eatherton is one step closer to his 8th Consecutive Mens Single Win after winning his quarter-final. The next round of matches needs to be played by 2nd August. 75th Frinton Open 2026!

The next tournament is our very own 75th Frinton Open, starting Monday 10th August! The closing date for registration is fast approaching on 26th July. We have events for U8's, U9's and U10's as well as singles, doubles and mixed for U12's, U14's, U16's and U18's (male and female).

We also have Open, 35+ and 55+ events for men's and women's singles and doubles.

It’d be great to see a lot of our Members take part in this fabulous tournament on home soil.

Colchester & District League

We started on Monday with 2 away matches. Our Mixed C were away at Lexden, and unfortunately lost 2-7. Our Mixed B were all in action at the Essex and despite some close games they lost 4-5.

On Wednesday our Mixed D were away at Kirby. The score was ….

And Tonight we’ve got a home match with Men’s B against David Lloyd. And our Ladies A are away at Lexden Hill. Good luck!

Junior Triangle Tournament 2026

We're delighted to announce the first-ever Junior Triangle Tournament this summer!

Following the same exciting format as the adult competition, junior players will compete across Golf, Tennis and Cricket in one action-packed day on Sunday 16th August.

Event Schedule

9:00 am – Tee off at the Golf Club
Lunchtime – Tennis at Frinton-On-Sea Lawn Tennis Club
Afternoon – Finish the day at the Cricket Club

The tournament is open to juniors aged 9–14, with each club entering a team of 8 players.

Every participant will receive a team polo shirt, with trophies and medals presented at the end of the day to celebrate the competition.

Upcoming Croquet Events

Croquet has a fantastic line-up of events to round off the season!

On Saturday 1st August, Croquet will host a Vintage Tournament from 11:00am, celebrating the history of the 1910 Frinton Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, as well as the 2026 New Lawn and six years at our present club. There will be a presentation at 2pm.

Then, on Saturday 29th August, the spotlight turns to the Croquet Club Championship Finals Day, where the season's champions will be crowned.

Finally, on Saturday 5th September, members are invited to join the End of Season Celebration to mark another successful year of croquet.

‍Breast Cancer NOW fundraising day

This year we will once again be holding a Breast Cancer NOW fundraising day on Thursday 30th July, 1 pm - 5 pm. There will be a bake sale to help raise funds along with a raffle. Members (and non-members) are more than welcome to bring in any homemade (or bought) cake for the bake sale, and donations are welcome for the raffle. Ladies Grass Court Tournament

We’re excited to be bringing one more Ladies tournament this year on Tuesday 18th August. This is a doubles format tournament, which you need to enter in pairs. Registration is open and available HERE.
