With just six days to go until Tennis Week, the countdown is well and truly on. Tennis may be the focus, but the week offers so much more for members and families to enjoy. Please take a moment to look through the schedule below and join in wherever you can.

In addition, we have a vintage croquet tournament, a junior triangular competition, our LTA tournament, junior camps, Club Championships, Ladies Doubles, and C&D matches. It’s a full programme that reflects everything our Club does best and there is still more happening behind the scenes.

We’re getting closer now to finding out who will be playing in our finals day on Saturday 5th September! The deadline for the next round of matches needs to be played by this Sunday, 2nd August! Tennis Week

This year, we are super excited to launch our First Annual Tennis Week!

The countdown is on! Join us from 6th – 9th August for 4 fantastic days of tennis, great competition and an unforgettable atmosphere. Lunch and Ball bookings can be made up until Wednesday 5th August!

Thursday 6th August – Junior Fun Day

Enjoy fun tennis activities withNEETacademy, followed by a partyastic disco. Aimed at children aged 5-12 years old. The Tennis element is now fully booked; however, you can still book the disco HERE.

Friday 7th August – The Chairman’s Challenge, plus lunch and Auction

Watch the battle between Chairman & Ex-Chairman, where David Binns takes on James Max!

The Chairman then warmly invites you to join fellow members, guests, and competitors for the Chairman's Challenge Lunch at 2 pm, followed by the Auction.

We have some fabulous auction lots including an Official 2026 Wimbledon Championship Ball, signed by Men’s Singles Champion Jannik Sinner, complete with a Letter of Authentication.

Sunday 9th August – FOSFEST

We’ll be holding an Adult & Junior Tournament from 10am. Registration is open HERE, , then family fun activities including live music and inflatable fun. Swimming and BBQ Specials from midday

75th Frinton Open 2026!

The next tournament is our very own 75th Frinton Open, starting Monday 10th August! Entries are now closed, and it’s great to see members of the club have entered. Play will start from 10 am on Monday 10th August. The poolside kitchen will be open all week from 12noon.

Colchester & District League

It was a busy week this week!

On Monday our Mixed B team were away at Dedham. A tough evening and FOSLTC lost 7-2.

On Tuesday it was a double header; our Men’s A were at home to Dedham. FOSLTC took the win 9-0, securing their place at the top of the Premier division for the first time since 2009!!

And our Mixed C were away to Little Clacton. Unfortunately, Clacton took the win 9-0.

On Wednesday our Men’s B were at home to Dedham, and after some hard-fought sets, FOSLTC took the win 5-4!

And on Thursday our Ladies B were at home to the Essex. The Essex won 9-0.

And tonight our Men’s C are away at Lexden R&F, and our Mixed A are at home to Spring Lane. Good Luck!

Junior Triangle Tournament 2026

We’re on the lookout for 3 more juniors to join this year's Junior Triangle Tournament! If your child is aged between 9-14, get in contact with Jack Bruce, youthdev@fosltc.com

Following the same exciting format as the adult competition, junior players will compete across Golf, Tennis and Cricket in one action-packed day on Sunday 16th August.

Event Schedule

9:00 am – Tee off at the Golf Club
Lunchtime – Tennis at Frinton-On-Sea Lawn Tennis Club
Afternoon – Finish the day at the Cricket Club

Every participant will receive a team polo shirt, with trophies and medals presented at the end of the day to celebrate the competition.

Upcoming Croquet Events

Croquet has a fantastic line-up of events to round off the season!

This Saturday 1st August, Croquet will host a Vintage Tournament from 11:00am, celebrating the history of the 1910 Frinton Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, as well as the 2026 New Lawn and six years at our present club.

Then, on Saturday 29th August, the spotlight turns to the Croquet Club Championship Finals Day, where the season's champions will be crowned.

Finally, on Saturday 5th September, members are invited to join the End of Season Celebration to mark another successful year of croquet.

‍Breast Cancer NOW fundraising day

Thankyou to everyone who came down to take part in the Breast Cancer NOW fundraising day. The raffle and bake sale in total raised £675.00, which is incredible! A big thankyou to Diane and Sarah for organising a fabulous day.

Ladies Grass Court Tournament

We’re excited to be bringing one more Ladies tournament this year on Tuesday 18th August. This is a doubles format tournament, which you need to enter in pairs. Registration is open and available HERE.
